Telemedicine for College Students - Intro
Class. Laundry. Homework. Gym. Exams. It’s hard to do all this stuff when you’re sick. That’s why you can use telemedicine 24/7. It’s basically FaceTiming with a doctor.
What is Telemedicine?
Contact and receive live healthcare guidance from a U.S. board certified physician practically right away using a smartphone, tablet, or computer. If needed, the doctor can prescribe medication and send the prescription to your local pharmacy.

Have a Back-to-School Checklist?
This might not be as exciting as meeting your new roommate or choosing your first classes, but you may save yourself a hassle later on by having a back-to-school checklist and marking them off as “done” before heading back to campus.
Use telemedicine for things like...
Urinary Tract Infections
Not 18 Years Old Yet?
You can create your own MDLIVE® account, but your parent or legal guardian will have to accompany you on your telemedicine visit.
Whether you have access to our telemedicine program through MDLIVE® will depend on the type of health plan you have. When you log into your Excellus BCBS online account, a “Telemedicine Visit” button/link will appear on the upper right corner of your screen. Click on the button/link to see if you have access to the program.
