Step Up to be Discontinued as of January 1, 2015
We are discontinuing Step Up as of January 1, 2015. The program is being discontinued primarily due to a decline in use over the years and the availability of newer and more relevant mobile and app-based programs in the market. The Clinical Employer Support Team is continually evaluating alternative programs and some options are included in the FAQ below.
Effectively immediately, we are no longer offering Healthy Competitions through Step Up. Employers can still export any past competitions through the end of the year.
If employers/members are currently using Step Up to earn HealthyRewards and their contract ends 1/1/15, they will need to finish up any programs before 12/31/14 to receive credit for their current HealthyRewards program. If their current plan (contract date) renews off cycle, meaning its start date was after 01/01/2014, we will work to reconcile any Step Up program still in progress on 12/31/14 after the first of the year. Members can continue earning HealthyRewards for tracking their healthy activities using the "My Diary," "My Nutrition Tracker," or "My Fitness Tracker," programs available on the Rewards Scorecard.
