Expiration of Encrypted Emails
We’re all taking extra precautions these days to ensure sensitive information is secure and protected. That is especially true when handling Protected Health Information (PHI) and Personally Identifiable Information (PII). Emails containing PHI, PII and any other confidential information will always be sent with encrypted files.
Please be aware, encrypted files expire after a specified time from the send date. You will not be able to access the information in the file if the email isn't opened and read within that time. You will also be prompted to create a password associated with your email address in order to access the encrypted file.
Please contact your account consultant with any questions.
