Medicare Group Invoice Update
Please be aware that there may be an incorrect dollar amount for Late Enrollment Penalties on Medicare group invoices. Despite this item being incorrect, the total amount due on the invoice is correct.
On the itemized portion of the invoice, if a group has a member with a late enrollment penalty, the penalty amount is showing as double the correct amount. Despite the incorrect late enrollment penalty, the total on the invoice is calculating correctly. We are aware of this issue and will resolve it as soon as possible.
A notice has been sent to the affected groups regarding the invoices. The Medicare groups are being billed the correct totals. An example invoice is provided below.
If a group comes to you regarding this information, please reassure them that they are being billed the correct totals and the issue will be remediated as quickly as possible.
