My Rx Statement – Helping Members Better Understand Their Costs

Commercial subscribers with prescription drug coverage that includes deductibles or coinsurance will receive an explanation of benefits (EOB) statement, "My Rx Statement," (PDF) beginning this month. This new statement will help members understand and manage their prescription drug deductible and/or coinsurance.

Each month that a subscriber or a subscriber's dependents has a prescription drug transaction at a pharmacy, the subscriber will receive a statement. To comply with privacy regulations, transactions for individual members on the policy will not include the drug name, but will include the name of the pharmacy, date of service, cost of the drug, and deductible and/or coinsurance.

Statements will only be sent in the months when there is prescription drug transaction activity. They will be sent between the 10th and 17th of each month and will reflect the previous month's drug activity.

The first few mailings of the new EOB will include an insert explaining why the subscriber is receiving the statement. It lists monthly health tips and other useful information, as well as drug transactions.

If subscribers request a detailed list of their drug claim transactions, they can log in and view them under the Prescription Drug site
